Mud Volcano and Sulphur Cauldron
A curious natural phenomenon, these mud pot attractions are caused by sulfuric acid that dissolves particles of clay and silica, which then mix with water to create the bubbling effect. Watch hydrogen sulfide, steam, carbon dioxide and other gases blast through the layers of mud. The attraction is located inside Yellowstone National Park, roughly 35 mi from the East Entrance.
